Poha is my all time favourite dish. Its indian cuisine and Poha is originated in Maharashtra but its equally popular in Madhya Pradesh. So people also look for how to make Indori poha recipe. Poha is nothing but Flattened rice. Its totally gluten free and very very easy to make. Its one of the best option for breakfast for those who have Gluten allergy. For quick recipe you can also skip adding potatoes in poha, it will still tastes awesome.

PREPARATION (1 Cup = 250 ML)
  1. Take a cup of Poha(Medium thick).
  2. Add 2 cups water in it.
  3. Soak it for exactly 30 Seconds.
  4. Drain out the water.
  5. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon Sugar and a handful of Cilantro(Coriander leaves).
  6. Mix everything and keep it aside.
  7. Take a small onion in a bowl.
  8. Add 8-10 medium sized Curry Leaves (kadi patta).
  9. Soak it in water and keep it aside.
PROCEDURE
  1. Heat a Pan and add 1 Tablespoon oil.
  2. Add peanuts in it.
  3. Fry peanuts till it becomes crunchy, on medium heat. When its done, take it out.
  4. Add 1 teaspoon of mustard seed in same oil.
  5. When mustard seeds start to crackle, add onion and curry leaves (Do not add the water).
  6. Add 2 Green Chillies into it and cook till onion becomes translucent. (Medium-high flame)
  7. Add 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoon Turmeric powder.
  8. Stir it.
  9. Add potato in it and stir.
  10. Reduce the flame to Low-medium and cover the pan with lid.
  11. Keep on stirring in between. Cook it till potatoes are fully cooked.
  12. Now add Poha in it.
  13. Mix.
  14. Add 1/2 Tablespoon lime/lemon juice in it.
  15. Add Peanuts and stir.
  16. Turn off the stove and serve HOT!
