Oats Uttapam is very very healthy recipe. And it’s very easy to make. You feel so full for very long time since its full of fibres. In this recipe I added onions, carrots and coriander leaves. But you can definitely add any veggie of your choice. I sometimes add beetroot and cabbage as well. It’s served with coconut chutney, green chutney, tomato ketchup or pickles.

  1. Grind Oats into a Mixer/grinder.
  2. Add Curd into oats powder.
  3. Add 1 teaspoon Salt into it.
  4. Mix it.
  5. Add some water to make it smooth.
  6. Keep it aside for at least 1 hour.
  7. After an hour, transfer it to different bowl (you can skip this step).
  8. Add some water to make it smooth.
  9. Add Rice Flour and add some more water if required to maintain the consistency.
  10. Add Ginger and Green Chilli and Black Pepper and salt to the batter.
  11. Now Heat a Pan/Tawa.
  12. Brush some oil on it.
  13. Pour a scoop full of batter on it. Do not spread, just press it to make round shape.
  14. Add Onion, Carrot and Coriander leaves on top.(You can use any vegetables of your choice)
  15. Press it gently.
  16. Brush some oil around the corners and top of the uttapam.
  17. Cover it and cook for 1 minute.
  18. Remove the cover and turn over the Uttapam. Cook for another 1 minute.
  19. Serve Hot!
