Ingredients

Instructions
  1. Take gram flour and rice flour in a bowl.
  2. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, carom seeds, hing(asafoetida) and salt to it.
  3. Add oil to it and mix well.
  4. Now add water little by little and knead it to make soft dough. Cover it and rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Take murukku maker and place the attachment with one slit. Add the dough in it and close it.
  6. Heat oil in a deep pan and drop the ribbon pakoda in it, cut them with your hands to make it shorter.
  7. Fry them on medium heat until golden brown. Stir continuously.

  1. Take gram flour and rice flour in a bowl.
  2. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, asafoetida, carom seeds and salt to it.
  3. Add oil to it and mix well.
  4. Add water to it, little at a time and knead it to form a soft dough. Cover it and rest for 10 minutes.
  5. Take some oil in your palm and take half of the dough and roll it.
  6. Now take the murukku maker grease it with oil. Use a one slit plate to make the ribbon pakora. Add dough to it and close it.
  7. Heat oil in a deep pan and drop the ribbon pakora to it. Cut it using your hands  to make it short. Fry it until golden brown. Keep stirring.
  8. Let it cool and store it in an air tight container. It’s shelf life is 1 month.
