vanilla sponge cake

Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour/maida
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 cup fresh cream
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/4 cup custard powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence

Instructions

  • To prepare vanilla sponge cake first add maida, baking powder, baking soda and sift it
  • in a bowl add fresh cream, sugar, and whisk till it becomes soft
  • add oil and mix it well
  • now add warm milk, milk powder, and mix it well
  • add dry ingredients, custard powder and vanilla essence and mix it well
  • add it to a greased baking tray and spread it evenly
  • tap to remove air bubbles
  • now bake it at 180°C/356°F for 40-45 minutes
  • take it out and cut off the top portion
  • vanilla sponge cake is ready
