For frying
- 6 tbsp oil or ghee
- 200 g paneer
For matar paneer
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 2 onions medium sized
- 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste
- 2 green chillies chopped
- 1 cup tomatoes chopped
- 2 tsp Salt
- ½ tsp turmeric powder
- 2 tsp chilli powder
- ½ tsp garam masala
- 2 tbsp kasuri methi
- 1 cup green peas
- ½ + ½ cup water
For Garnish
- Handful coriander leaves chopped
Making matar paneer
In the same oil add cumin seeds, chopped onions, and fry until translucent.
Add ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, chopped tomatoes and mix everything well.
Add salt and let it cook until soft and dry.
Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder, garam masala, kasuri methi and mix it well.
Add green peas, ½ cup water and cook for 4minutes on medium heat.
Add the fried paneer and ½ cup water to the kadai and mix it well.
Cook for 2 more minutes on medium heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
Serve hot and enjoy!
