Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Ghee
  • 2 cups besan/ gram flour
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 1/4 tsp cardamom powder
  • 1 tbsp almonds chopped
  • 1 tbsp cashews chopped
  • 1 cup boora/powdered sugar
  • Pistachio garnishing

Instructions

  • In a pan heat 1/2 cup ghee and add besan to it. Roast on medium low heat
  • Keep roasting until it looks golden.
  • Add 2 tbsp ghee and keep mixing.
  • Ghee will start releasing from gram flour. Keep roasting.
  • Roast for approx. 45 minutes.
  • when the besan looks done, sprinkle some water on it and keep mixing.
  • Turn off the heat and add cardamom powder.
  • Add chopped cashews and chopped almonds. Mix everything.
  • Transfer mixture to a bowl and let it cool.
  • Add powdered sugar in batchesand keep mixing
  • Grease your hands with ghee and take small portions in your hands.
  • Roll them to make circular shaped balls.  Add pistachio for garnishing.
  • Repeat the same steps for all the laddu. Besan ke laddu are now ready. Serve and enjoy.
