For quick recipe you can also skip adding potatoes in poha, it will still tastes awesome.

Poha recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 cup poha
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • coriander leaves handful
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 cup water
  • 8-10 curry leaves
  • 1 cup water
  • 50 grams peanuts
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 2 green chillies
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 medium potato
  • 1/2 tbsp lime juice

Instructions

  • To prepare aloo poha, first add poha and water in bowl and leave it for 30 seconds
  • drain it and add salt, sugar, coriander leaves and mix it well
  • now add onions, curry leaves and water in an another bowl and keep it
  • now add oil and peanuts in a pan
  • fry it for a minute and take it out
  • now add mustard seeds, rinsed onion and curry leaves
  • fry it for a minute
  • add green chillies and cook it until onions becomes translucent
  • add salt and turmeric powder and mix it well
  • add potatoes and cover the lid
  • stir occasionally and cook for few minutes
  • add poha mixture and mix it well
  • add lime juice, peanuts and mix it
  • Poha is ready
